Commercial Collections Specialist

In business since 1950, Gallagher Fire Equipment Company is seeking a dedicated and diligent Collections Professional for a full-time position at our Livonia, Michigan office.
In this role, you will a have hands-on, day to day interaction with our customers with past due accounts.
Our customers include; businesses, municipalities, property management companies, retail establishments, restaurants and any other entity that is required to meet local fire codes.
*Responsibilities include but not limited to*: * Drive the accounts collections process * Resolve external customer account queries *Requirements:* * An Associates Degree is preferred * Experience in a business accounts role * _*Must have commercial collections experience!*_ * Understanding of basic accounting principles helpful * Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent customer service acumen * Able to make collections phone calls * Strong negotiating skills * Experience with construction billing and AIA documents a plus * Experience placing Mechanics Leins *Benefits:* * Medical, dental, and prescription insurance * 401(k) with Discretionary Employer Match * Paid Holidays, Vacation and Personal Time Off *Experience:* * Commercial Accounts Collections 3+ years Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
