Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Community Choice Credit Union to live out our purpose, “We believe in helping our neighbors achieve the life they desire”.
A key component of this mission is to provide five-star service to our members and team members.
Position Summary This role is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day accounting functions are completed in accordance with standard procedures and regulations by computing, classifying, recording and verifying numerical data.
This role partners with the accounting team to ensure responsibilities such as accounts payable, GL reconciliation, and other various responsibilities are completed.
This role must know how and when to communicate and escalate as necessary when discrepancies arise.
This role is an individual contributor to the Credit Union.

Essential Duties • Verify and balance credit union general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure all credit union records are accurate.
Maintain daily and monthly entries for investments and third-party lending partner portfolios ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Reconciling of electronic cash letter deposit from all sources to ensure correct and timely correspondent account credit.
• Prepare and audit credit union vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, financial reports and other records involved with the accounts payable, accounts receivable and subsidiary records to ensure accounting practices are upheld and are compliant with credit union policy and regulatory governance.
• Maintain Fixed Asset and Prepaid Expense records; setting up depreciation schedules, balancing, and filing of original invoice documents.
• Completion of daily balancing and reconciliation of credit card and ATM transactions.
• Process assigned month end and year end tasks to ensure accurate reporting of the credit union’s financial condition.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly Call NCUA report as requested.
