*Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:*
· Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
· Safely load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
· Move materials within the warehouse or distribution center to designated storage areas.
· Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory management.
· Assist with general warehouse duties such as organizing, cleaning, and maintaining a safe work environment.
*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*
· Previous experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
· Proficient in warehouse management systems and order picking processes.
· Familiarity with clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment.
· Ability to safely load, unload, and stack materials of various sizes and weights.
· Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management.
· Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures in a distribution center.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
*Physical Abilities:*
* Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
* Must be physically fit and able to repetitively lift heavy material (i.
e.
up to 23 kg / 50 lbs.
)
* Work in a temperature controlled environment of approximately 52 degrees.
