*Roles and Responsibilities:*
*SHIFT STARTS BETWEEN 5AM-7AM - must be open to working in the warehouse.
*
* Drive a 16-20ft box truck delivering prepackaged foods to schools throughout Metro Detroit
* Load and unload orders on/off of truck
* Follow the correct route and deliver to all locations on time
* Utilize GPS (self-supplied cell phone) to drive most efficient route
* Ensure all clients receive correct delivery items and quantities
* Follow all traffic laws and drive defensively to ensure safety
* Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, perform regular vehicle inspections
* Provide excellent customer service to all clients and all internal staff
* Prompt communication of any food or service issues to management
* Ensure proper food handling and food safety
* Assist Warehouse team with building dry goods orders for future deliveries
* Perform hot shot deliveries as needed
* Perform other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely manner
* Problem solve as needed to ensure clients satisfaction with deliveries
*Qualifications and requirements:*
* Valid state driver's license
* Clean driving record
* Current USDOT Medical Card (we can provide for you)
* Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
, stand, bend, twist, squat, and safely operate wheeled carts and flat beds
* Obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits, and cell phone usage law
* Frequently climbing in and out, loading and unloading a truck
* Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, in all weather
* Great time management skills
* Great customer attitude and attentiveness
* Ability to operate a vehicle for 8 hours
* Part time weekend route coverage
* Great organizational and counting skills
