*Job Description:*

Join our team as a Courier Driver at RO Logistics, a reputable courier business specializing in the transportation of library books and other materials for the Macomb County public libraries.
As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of library materials to various locations within Macomb County.

The opening is for 3days/week - Mondays, Wednesdays AND Fridays.
No weekends or holidays required.
Must be available for all 3 days.
Hours are roughly 7:30am - 2:30pm.
*Responsibilities:*
* Safely operate a box truck to pick up and deliver crates of library books to designated locations in Macomb County.
* Load and unload crates, some of which may weigh 40 lbs.
or more, ensuring proper handling and security of the items.
* Adapt to different weather conditions while maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety.
* Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
* Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the truck's safety and functionality.
*Qualifications:*
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record – CDL preferred but not required.
* Physical ability to lift, carry, and transport crates weighing 40 lbs.

*\*This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position.
You will need to load and unload over 50 crates per day as well as pull out the box truck ramp and open the roll up door multiple time per day.

* Dependable and punctual with excellent time management skills.
* Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or a similar role is a plus.
