Basic Function: Primary responsibility is local pickup and delivery.
Secondary responsibility to function as Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Driver (Main role- 80%):
Drive the 20-foot open Flatbed truck and pickup truck for local collections and deliveries.
Ensure load is safely secured as required.
Conduct routine inspection of vehicles before leaving Fori Automation.
Responsible for completing paperwork signage for each load.
Must complete assignments in a timely fashion.
Function as backup Shipping and Receiving Clerk as a secondary role as required.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Secondary role- 20%):
Proficient in the use of a fork truck and overhead crane.
Loads and unloads trailers for shipments.
Inspect all incoming material for damage and proper quantity against shippers.
Maintains clean and organized work area.
Prepare, stage, and load packages to be shipped.
Verify packing lists are correct to contents received.
Perform all required data entry for Shipping/Receiving functions.
Follow-up with Purchasing to inform them of late shipments or irregular shipments that may require their attention.
Data entry for company ERP system (training available).
Prepare paperwork for Shipping/Receiving tasks.
Work with Purchasing and Accounting on return for credit shipments.
Deliver packages or receipts to appropriate internal departments.
Perform all tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor or Manager.
Prerequisites:
Education: High School Diploma required
Experience:
Minimum one year of shipping and receiving experience.
Must have a valid Michigan Chauffeurs license.
Must know and follow all Michigan driving laws.
Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Must have a valid Hi-Lo license.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ensure professionalism in communication both verbal and written
