Preschool Associate Teacher

We are seeking a stellar candidate as a *PRESCHOOL ASSOCIATE TEACHER*.

Growing Minds Learning Center is an independent learning center focused on preparing children for kindergarten.
We accept children from various backgrounds and welcome the entire family into our learning experience.
Our approach is designed to service children in our community and help to educate them and expose them to hands-on learning outside of the classroom as well.
*Responsibilities and Duties* *The right person is:* - Someone who has a *CDA* *OR* - Someone who has an Associates degree in *Early Childhood Education* *OR* - Someone who has an Associates degree in *Child Development* *OR* *-\* - Someone who has a*120 Hour Approval\* - Someone who has experience with HighScope curriculum - Well-organized, independent, and creative - Energized by finding solutions to problems that may arise in a classroom setting - Familiar with Detroit and has diverse personal and professional networks - Comfortable working with a teaching team - An excellent communicator and presenter; someone who is willing to work with families and engage with parents *Qualifications and Skills* _Compensation_is competitive.
Please note that a working knowledge of HighScope curriculum is helpful, but not essential.
It is far more important that we identify someone who is compassionate and understands the relationship between our mission, family engagement and growth.
Please note, if you do not currently hold a CDA, you must be willing to enroll in CDA course immediately and obtain within 6 months.
