*Job Title: High School Teacher – Math*
Category: Classroom Teacher
Reports to: Dean of 7th–12th Grade
Job Overview: Teaching Math to students, maintaining knowledge of state education standards, integrating biblical principles into lessons, participating in staff meetings and development, maintaining positive relationships with parents, students, administration and peers.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor's Degree, Teaching Certificate Required, Subject level certification
● Spiritual: As a ministerial representative, evidence of personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ is required.
Specifically, builds relationships through prayer, actively seeking God’s direction, reading God’s word and applying it to daily life.
Regular church attendance, actions, behavior and appearance representative of a biblically rooted Christian both in and out of the school environment.
Adherence to and support of Parkway’s Statement of Faith, Core Values and Spiritual Qualifications.

● Mastery of Michigan High School Education Standards

● Clear and effective communication practices with students, staff, and parents
Experience: Classroom experience preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
● Teaches, demonstrates and analyzes knowledge and skills in mathematics and science, utilizing curriculum designated by state standards and other appropriate learning activities
● Evaluates each student’s academic and social growth
● Prepares report cards, and keeps appropriate records in a web-based grading system to include attendance reports, checklists, and other record keeping activities as necessary
● Understands and applies Biblical Worldview Integration as trained by administration
● Works cooperatively with other teachers
● Prepares lessons with differentiated ability levels
● Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive environment in all physical education areas
● Attends staff meetings/Departmental meetings
● Communicates with parents
● Maintains control of storage and use of school property
● Maintains professional competence by attending staff development programs, curriculum development meetings and other professional activities
● Participates in various student and parent activities which occur in school including PTS, student clubs and after-school activities
● Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Dean or other appropriate administrator
