Job Summary:
Trillium Academy is a Prek-12 grade charter school in Taylor, Michigan seeking a passionate and experienced Volleyball Coach to join our team.
As a Volleyball Coach, you will be responsible for teaching and training athletes in the fundamentals of volleyball, developing their skills, and fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
This is a paid position.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct volleyball practices and training sessions
- Teach athletes proper techniques, strategies, and rules of the game
- Develop individual and team skills through drills, exercises, and scrimmages
- Provide guidance and support to athletes during games and competitions
- Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among athletes
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games
- Collaborate with other coaches to develop practice plans and game strategies
- Attend team meetings, coaching clinics, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching volleyball at the youth or high school level preferred
- Extensive knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and rules
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential
- Experience working with students or children in a coaching or mentoring capacity
- Lifeguard certification (preferred)
- Additional experience or knowledge in other sports such as basketball, cheerleading, judo, swimming, or physical education is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $2,500.
00 - $3,500.
00 per year
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
