Preschool Assistant Teacher

*PRESCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER* We are currently looking for assistant preschool teachers for fall 2023.
Our school is open Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Shifts would be within these parameters.
As a Preschool Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher to implement age-appropriate lesson plans and employing positive-redirection techniques.
You will be a vital part of our team delivering a solid foundation for the future success of the children in our care, and play an integral part in their social, emotional and academic development.

Other duties include: * Provide care, nurture, and assess children in developmentally appropriate positive interactions * Help with the supervision and management of daily class functions of a group of children to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the children * Work with classroom staff * Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment * Communicate and build connections with families, staff, and the administrative team * Interact professionally with families, staff, and the administrative team * Maintain staff to student ratios at all times in your classroom or other classrooms if needed * Complete minimum 16 clock training hours per year (all can be completed online and on demand) * Attend staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as needed (4 to 6 a year) *Pay is based on candidate's years of experience working in a licensed daycare and/or education in child development/early childhood.
