Provide treatment services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries and substance abuse disorders; Instructs and assists individual clients or groups in the fundamental practice of Yoga and physical exercise, as well as flexibility conditioning; Demonstrates methods and techniques of participation.
Typical Responsibilities:
* Adapt activities to meet client's needs.
* Demonstrate physical activities.
* Convert information into an instructional program.
* Develop instructional materials.
* Establish and maintain relationships with team members.
* Confer with members of the team to plan and evaluate therapy program.
* Conduct initial evaluations of clients to determine appropriate needs.
* Observe, analyze, and record client's participation and progress towards treatment goals.
* Prepare and submit reports to treatment team to reflect client's reactions and evidence of progress.
* Attend staff and supervision meetings as well as client case conferences.
* Attend and participate in TBI Solutions functions, i.
e.
, community based as required.
* Maintain appropriate certification, attends seminars to continue certification requirements (CEU's, etc.
).
* Maintains ethical standards and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the profession and position.
* Maintains professional liability insurance.
Qualifications:
* Must be a registered Yoga instructor by the Yoga Alliance and at least two years experience.
* Must have experience working with clients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.
Job Types: Contract, Part-time
