Qualifications:
• A valid Michigan teacher certificate with at least three (3) years of successful teaching experience
• A Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in school administration or educational leadership
• Must have completed a minimum of twenty semester hours of graduate credit in a state-approved program in school
administration
• Must meet current state-mandated professional development requirements for Michigan school administrators
Description:
This is a 46- week salaried position
Responsibilities:
• Administers the total operation of the school and its personnel
• Supervises school curriculum development, school improvement, and staff development
• Directs, supervises, and evaluates the instructional program and instructional staff
• Plans staff, departmental and other special meetings
• Assists in the selection and procurement of teaching and nonteaching personnel
• Assists in planning and developing the school budget and supervises the expenditures from this budget and all fiscal
matters pertaining to the school
• Supervises the school community program and provides leadership to parent organization
• Recommends and administers guidelines for proper student conduct and maintaining student discipline
• Attends all regular Board of Education meetings, as requested
• Attends all Central Office staff meetings, as requested
• Serves on various District-wide committees as needed
• Supervises compliance to No Child Left Behind
• All other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
