3-8 General Education Teacher for the 24/25 school year

Elementary School Teacher Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a full time elementary teacher for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Christ the King Catholic School is a mage elementary school and has been educating children in the Northwest Detroit and the surrounding community since 1938.
We are looking for an innovative individual passionate about teaching children in a vibrant and ever-changing school environment.
Responsibilities Include: Develops and implements a well-planned, standards-based curriculum Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress Oversees the planning and implementation of the classroom Establishes a classroom atmosphere of caring respect and appropriate expectations, which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively and respectfully.
Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents Completes additional operational and professional responsibilities and duties as needed Requirements Include: Bachelors degree required / Current Michigan teacher certification preferred Send resumes to Brittany Culkowski at: bculkowski@christthekingschooldetroit.
