*Position*: Elementary ESL/ELD Teacher

*Compensation: *At the appropriate step on the Teachers' Salary Schedule
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate with K-8 ESL (NS) endorsement, required
* BR or BX endorsement, preferred
* Knowledge of elementary student expectations, including academic, social, emotional, and behavioral milestones
* Knowledge of language acquisition and best practice instructional strategies for multilanguage learners.
* Knowledge of elementary grade-level standards in multiple grade levels
* Experience creating and implementing schedules
* Experience utilizing student data to drive instruction in all subject areas
* Strong commitment to educating students
* Ability and willingness to collaborate regularly with general education teachers about the social and academic needs of English Learners
* Ability to combine ELD and grade-level standards in order to plan and teach using best practice ESL core instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
* Ability to work effectively between multiple elementary buildings
* Ability to create lesson plans and implement strategies to address the needs of students in various classroom settings, including one-on-one, small group, and large group ESL, co-taught, or sheltered instructional classes
* Ability to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with staff, students and parents
* Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.
) and online sourcing tools with functional knowledge of internet use for search platforms
* Ability to withstand the strain of teaching
* Must be reliable and punctual with an excellent work-related attendance record
