The City of Madison Heights Public Library is accepting applications - No experience required! Minimum age 14 (with valid work permit) - no maximum age limit This part-time position works with library materials to make it easy for people to find information.
While hours may vary, the position initial schedule is Friday-Saturday, 2 p.
m.
– 5 p.
m.
and is paid every two weeks.
The Library is currently closed on Friday and Saturday evenings, and all-day Sunday, so you'll still have a lot of weekend time to enjoy not working! Examples of daily work include but are not limited to: Prepare, label, and repair materials.
Retrieve materials from reports.
Put items in alphabetical or numerical order.
Use a computer to enter, review, and update reports, including, but not limited to: Items requested by other libraries.
Missing or lost materials.
Items that have not recently used.
Facilitate library events to support entertaining educational experiences.
Prepare handouts or take-home materials.
Move furniture to specific places.
Assist coworkers or supervisors during assigned events.
Work independently without constant supervision to improve efficiency.
Request assistance from coworkers to ensure people receive accurate information.
When coworkers are unable to supply needed information, request assistance from full-time employees or supervisors.
Alert supervisors to safety issues promptly.
