The district is seeking a highly effective educator(s) to provide high-quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's educational vision and mission.
Reports to: Building Administrator
Responsibilities:
Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students.
Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental and social emotional needs of student.
Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student achievement.
Utilize educational technology to support students’ instruction and learning
Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate.
Endorsements rqurired: CX - Social Science or CE - Psychology with additional endorsement in Social Studies.
Successful expreince teaching in a secondary environment.
Prior experience instructing advanced placement (AP) courses and/or willingness to particpate in AP training outside of the insructional calendar.
Familiarity with district/state/national currciulum and ability to work collaboratively with all staff, students and community.
Effective problem-solving skills,trust buiding and leadership.
