Summary: Heavy Equipment Operator will have previous working knowledge of hydraulic systems, electronic controls, electrical circuitry, schematics, and a basic knowledge of diesel engine repair.
Heavy Equipment Operator Pay: $20 to $22 hourly (Depending on experience) Benefits at Parsec • Exceptional Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Benefits (3 plan design choices) • 401(k) • Company paid life insurance • Voluntary Benefits • Paid Weekly • Paid Time Off • Opportunity for growth Heavy Equipment Operator responsibilities: • Follow a checklist of inspection procedures • Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions (NO CDL REQUIRED) • Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as Cummings Insite • Raise trucks, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles • Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts • Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components • Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment Heavy Equipment Operator Qualifications: • Must be minimum of 18 years of age • Open availability (24/7/365) available to work nights, weekends, and holidays that fall on your rotation.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions • Valid Driver’s License • Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry • Mi-Jack or Taylor Manufacture Brand experience a plus.
• Documents repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing • Performs light welding when required • Other duties as assign • Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Job Requirements: • Frequent standing, walking, balancing while walking on elevated catwalks, bending, and grasping.
• Will walk up to three miles within a shift.
• Occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting and the ability to lift more than 50lbs.
