Nice 1974 - 21 foot StarCraft pleasure/fishing boat with a dual axle trailer that goes with it.
Only bought her at the end of 2020 and spent most of 2021 fixing her up and giving her a fresh paint job.
My top-notch marine mechanic got her running strong and as smooth as a sewing machine, and with one turn of the key the 188 horsepower inboard roars to life! Then it was off to 3 or 4 fishing trips and a couple of just cruising around excursions for the rest of 2021.
Winterized her in November of 2021 and didn't unwrap her in 2022 because I was busy running from Covid – 19, and didn't unwrap her at all in 2023 because of a serious illness that put me in the hospital for 10 days in March and almost took me out.
She has a working depth finder/fish finder, two-way radio with push-button mike and compass mounted on the console top, a step-thru windshield, a working stern based automatic bilge pump, and an anchor and rope.
Also has a full waterproof canvas boat cover and 2 full-body life jackets.
Nothing to buy - just go boating! As my marine mechanic winterized her, the last thing he was working on to make her better was installing a new gas gauge in the dashboard.
We decided to finish that job when we unwrapped her - but with the illness that has weakened me so much in March of this 2023 - reluctantly because I have to give up small boating for life for medical reasons.
Now that my doctors and I made that decision - SOMEBODY should have the use of a good boat for fishing and cruising.
