*Summary of Position*
The Sales/Operations Manager is responsible for developing new business while managing current customers and providing excellent service to our customers.
They will be responsible for providing general account management to assigned customer accounts including sales presentations and contract renewals.
This role has dual responsibilities which may overlap at times depending upon the time of year.
*Sales Management* * Build and sustain a constant pipeline of new customers; perform lead generation and work through company sales process to onboard new customers.
* Work with prospects to understand budget, service needs and pain points, expectations, and property layout.
* Prepare and present proposals to prospective customers.
* Build and service portfolios of clients in focused geographic markets to create density.
* Utilize company’s CRM to maintain client information, ensuring all information is entered timely, is comprehensive, accurate and in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Maintain strong customer relations by providing exceptional customer service.
Conduct customer touchpoints both remotely and in-person to ensure all expectations are being met.
* Review expiring customer contracts and generate renewal contracts in conjunction with management.
* Maintain a profit margin that falls within company goals on sold accounts.
* Retain your established clientele and replace lost business with new customers.
* Assist with payment collections in conjunction with the A/R Department.
* Utilize networking to help build a book of business.
* Review site maps for service area and location of snow piles with clients to gain approval.
* Communicate with customers before, during, and after winter events providing appropriate updates and direction.
*Operations Management* * Partner with Operation Team to ensure your clients’ sites are covered by a suitable service provider in a timely manner.
* Interact with contracted service providers to ensure all aspects and specifications of the customer service agreements are being followed.
* Be actively involved before/during/after all snow events, including 24/7 availability, communicating with crews, and promptly responding to all requests for service (calls, emails, texts).
* Follow and review CrewTracker before, during, and after the storm.
* Contact Service Providers for additional information to ensure reports and invoices are accurate.
* Manage Service Providers to make sure they are meeting deadlines * Update CRM with any pertinent information * Communicate with Service Providers before, during, and after a winter event coordinating services.
*Knowledge and Skills * * Sales experience preferred, preferably in facilities management.
* Hold current driver’s license, accompanied by a satisfactory driving record.
* 24x7 availability to be on call during the winter season.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM systems, and navigating various software applications.
* Customer-focused; positive demeanor.
The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide audience (internal and external).
* Self-motivated and goal oriented.
* Problem solving skills, including quick and solid follow-through focused on achieving results.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Flexibility in schedule is vital, particularly during peak times.
* Must be readily adaptable to fast-paced, changing/evolving environment.
* Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted.
*Work Environment/Physical Demands* * Physical and mental endurance required for 24x7 availability during the winter season, including traveling to sites and being outside in winter weather conditions performing physical tasks.
* Working in an office environment, many times in a remote capacity, using standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
* Travel, mostly driving a motor vehicle to view and/or walk properties in winter weather conditions during a snow event or attend offsite customer meetings during sales seasons.
* The ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, ascend/descend stairs, and walk for various lengths of time during business hours.
* The ability to lift 50 pounds if needed.
