Hawk RouterSHOP router table (RS 29) with Dewalt DW 618 router kit
This is a very unique router table.
The router is attached to a mechanism that changes the position of the router back/forth or up/down depending on whether the table is in the horizontal or vertical position.
The Hawk RouterSHOP, in essence, turns your router into a small tilt-arbor shaper.
The table it is well designed and well made.
With the router tilted, common bits can cut a wide variety of shapes.
Set it at 90° to the steel table, and you’ve got a mortiser.
A threaded rod-and-crank handle moves the router up and down when the table is tilted, or front to back when the table is flat.
The stationary fence mounts to the front of the table with T-handled screws.
A T-track located at the top of the fence sections allows use of jigs or hold-downs.
A sturdy steel base supports the whole assembly.
For a woodworker who wants to increase the variety of molding profiles he can produce, or wants the basis for a horizontal mortiser, this table can do it all.
The package also includes a set of Grip-Tight Guide magnetic featherboards.
The sale includes a Dewalt Router Fixed/Plunge Base Kit, Variable Speed, 2-1/4-HP (DW618PK) and includes a spare fixed base connected to the Hawk RouterSHOP unit.
Both the table and router set are in excellent condition and work as the should.
The only reason I am selling is that I recently secured a Festool CMS router table and don’t need the Hawk table and Dewalt router set.
