Tire and Lube Technician

Job Summary We are looking to hire an experienced Tire and Lube Technician for Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC in Center Line, Michigan.
The Technician will be responsible for performing all types of tire maintenance, installation, rotation, balancing, and repairs.
Additionally, the Technician must be experienced in all aspects of preventive maintenance and light mechanical repairs.
Compensation & Benefits This is a full-time, flat rate position based in Center Line, Michigan.
The position's pay rate is 21 dollars per hour, and is paid out weekly.

Responsibilities • Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs to tire, brake, and wheel components and systems • Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs on all types of automotive parts using a variety of tools • Detect and diagnose worn, damaged, and failed automotive parts • Test automotive parts to ensure proper performance • Change, replace, and adjust automotive parts as necessary to restore proper operation • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Comply with company safety standards • Follow automotive repair orders to perform required service • Advise management on necessary service and maintenance • Maintain knowledge of current automotive technology • Perform other duties as assigned Requirements • High school diploma/GED or equivalent • Valid driver’s license • Ability to stand or lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to work on ladders and in confined, uncomfortable spaces • Skilled in the use of air and hand tools, including but not limited to, tire machines, tire lube equipment, and diagnostic scanners • Experience using computer applications including industry-specific software • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Must be able to provide proof of valid automotive liability insurance EEOC Statement Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
